So many newer bands are quickly picking up speed in our scene. They can often be overshadowed by much more popular bands in our scene but I can see these bands becoming some of the more bigger bands in the scene. So here our some upcoming bands to look out for and bands you shouldn't sleep on in my opinion. Let's get straight into the list in no particular order. Bad Seed RisingFavorite album: Awake In Color Favorite song: Obvious I'm sure you recognize Bad Seed Rising because I have mentioned them quite a few times on the blog. They may be one of the younger band in the scene but don't let their age turn you away from their music. They're extremely and talented if you ever have the chance to see them live and sound just like their studio albums. They are definitely going to be one of the bigger bands in the scene today given that they've opened up for bands such Blessthefall and Memphis May fire. Doll SkinFavorite album: In Your Face (Again) Favorite song: Shut Up (You Know You Miss Me) There isn't that many female fronted bands in our scene today as many of us know. Which is why Doll Skin stands out the most to me, seeing young girls shred and rock hard really sets them about from others. Aside from the fact that they're an all girl band, they are insanely talented for their age which will blow people away. Definitely out Doll Skin out if you like metal infused with pop punk! You will not regret checking them out. SWMRSFavorite album: Drive North Favorite song: Palm Trees SWMRS is a pop punk/punk band that have a different image that most other bands in the scene which we don't see that often. SWMRS have a different stand that I can really see standing out to several people can probably be interested in. Which SWMRS are already gaining some momentum in the scene now that have opened up for bands such as All Time Low. Sworn InFavorite album: All Smiles Favorite song: Sunshine Sworn In is a metalcore/hardcore band that have dark and haunting lyrics. Even they do metalcore/hardcore style in a way that is different than the "generic" metalcore. You want will to keep listening to Sworn In's infectious tunes over and over on repeat. Sworn In really have a unique style that is very dark and edgy but it comes across smoothly and seamlessly. SylarFavorite album: Help!
Favorite song: Assume Sylar is a band that combine both rap and metalcore creating an almost nu metal sound but completely modern. They have a similar style to early works of Linkin Park and you can definitely hear the influence. A more modern example of a band they've been compared to is Issues because they both infuse to different genres together. Sylar do what they do very well and definitely should not be ignored what so ever. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What are some of your favorite up and coming bands of 2017 thus far?
