Albums of the Month
If you are looking for more albums to be listening look no further than here! Here are some of my favorite albums that I've been jamming to in the month of August! Where I will tell you about what I've been enjoying about the album and what my top two favorite tracks are off of the album! So here they are! 5. Vessels by StarsetTop tracks: Ricochet and Gravity of You Starset have a cinematic rock sound and I've definitely been jamming to their 2017 release Vessels and I'm simply obsessed with their sound. It's completely different than most other music that I listen to, it feels almost futuristic with heavy synths and if you are unaware of what the band looks like a space gimmick. They are definitely a band that is out of this world and you definitely should not sleep on this project! 4. Deathgrip by Fit For A KingTop tracks: Stacking Bodies and Cold Room Fit For A King are really solid metalcore band and I've been really enjoying there music and the pure aggression vocalist, Ryan Kirby really packs. Fit For A King are also a band that proves that a Christian metalcore band can really rock equally as hard as bands who don't stick to that label. There lyrics also hold really deep meanings where listeners can take something away from each track. 3. Ritual by In This MomentTop tracks: Witching Hour and Half God Half Devil In This Moment are just are doing metal in a completely different ay from many other metal bands in the scene today! From there live show to their music videos even their music itself! I've often heard Maria Brink being called the metal version of Lady Gaga, and after seeing In This Moment live in July I have to say that Lady Gaga is the pop version of Maria Brink. This album is just an entertaining album all the way through and I hardly skip any songs on this album which is saying a lot. 2. Shadows Inside by Miss May ITop tracks Never Let Me Stay and Swallow Your Teeth I'm sure all of you are away that tragedy struck Miss May I this month and they almost called it a quits as a band all together. This made me really appreciate that they didn't quit it as a band and really embrace that they are doing. Shadows Inside is also one of my favorite albums that I've heard this year that I've kept coming back to over and over again. It's a really fun and energetic metalcore album. 1. All Smiles by Sworn InTop tracks Cry Baby and Helluputmethru
I heard someone call this album angsty...and I do have to agree this metalcore (or as others have called them mathcore) have very angsty lyrics. But hey! We all need some angsty music to listen to every now and then! All angst aside, this album musically is very something that I enjoy coming back to because of how chaotic and different it sounds to different heavy bands are today. I recently got into Sworn In after seeing them live after Warped Tour and I've been loving their music since. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ugh! Now for the hard the hard part. Explaining to you all where I have been so where do I begin. In the middle of August I came back to school a new university for my sophomore year of college. I've been caught up with college things such as homework, football games, parties and friends how. I feel awful for not updating my blog but I still absolutely love music! In fact, I got hired to be a DJ on my campus and you can stream it live at the website: kzuu.wsu.edu (check it out)! That's pretty much it I hope to be posting on here more frequently as I get more and more used to living at a new school.
