Autumn is fast approaching (next week to be exact), personally during the Spring and Summer I love pop punk and post-hardcore music something much more lighter and fun loving. During the Fall and Winter, it's a different story I love metalcore and hard rock. Maybe it's because it's starting to get colder and darker because at least here in Washington it's already down into the 60s so Summer is definitely is over. Enough rambling and now it's time for the songs itself. 5. A Reason Why by AegesI found Aeges when they played at Pain in the Grass 2017 and I gravitated this song because during the weekends I'm DJs so I decided to play this song. It's a song that questions whether you want to be alive and trying to understand the meaning of life. I highly recommend you check out the music video for "A Reason Why" because it's dark mysterious and really haunting as you see a young guy try to figure out why he's alive. It's a perfect song for the transition of Summer to Autumn because they still have upbeat songs but still have a nice hard rock sound. 4. Familiar Taste of Poison by HalestormI feel like I never talk about Halestorm enough, and I really should talk about them more! I absolutely love Halestorm they're one of my favorite bands and Lzzy Hale is an amazing vocalist. "Familiar Taste of Poison" is a haunting song where you hear about love, loss, and intrigue. The song also really fits well with the song where you try to uncover a murder mystery which absolutely perfect for Fall! I don't why I think of things that are more dark and mysterious for Fall (oh yeah, probably Halloween). This is another music video that you should check out because it has a really amazing storyline. I'm also bummed I can't see them live this Autumn with New Years Day and Starset. 3. Anti-Everything by DedI found this band because I trying to find new bands to play on my radio show, and the first song I heard was "Anti-Everything" and I absolutely fell in love. They are an amazing new nu-metal band it's dark mysterious and energetic. I definitely have been coming back to this and I definitely recommend you check these guys out. Ded are a band that have a lot of potential to become a huge rock band in the scene and I really can't wait here what's next to come from them. This band only has one album out yet and I definitely recommend you check it out. 2. Devil's Night by Motionless In WhiteMotionless In White is my all time favorite band and "Devil's Night" is my all time favorite song by them. It's a fun aggressive energetic song that will definitely get you guys moving. This song is one that I never get tired of them by them, I always blast this song whenever I hear it on Spotify and loose my mind when I hear them play it live. If you are thinking about starting to listen to Motionless In White I recommend you start out with this song because it will just leave you speechless. I'm also super bummed I can't go to their fall tour with Miss May I and The Amity Affliction. 1. The Nature of the Beast by Ice Nine KillsI don't know why I always gravitate towards Ice Nine Kills during the fall. Maybe it's because they are a band that has written severals about literature and have made into a haunting story. I know I chose "Nature of the Beast" to put on this list but honestly it should "Any Song by Ice Nine Kills" because all of these songs and music videos have a dark narrative to tell. Not many bands can be successful at this but Ice Nine Kills have a talent for this and they will captivate you with their haunting imagery in any of their music videos especially their 2015 release Every Trick in the Book.
