Going to concerts exposes us, music fans, to seeing a bunch bands that we would have never seen live before and introduces to us to their music. So as someone who has gone to quite a few concerts now here are just a select few of the bands I fell in love with after seeing them live. Keep in mind some of these could end up being repeats from my all time favorite bands I have seen live list...you have been warn. No particular order; 5. IslanderI first heard of Islander at The Word Alive concert in November of 2016. I instantly fell in love with their music it was something different that I have even heard before. In my opinion, they were doing something different than several rock bands are doing today. There sound is influenced by several different genres across the board that create a sound that just blends together almost seamlessly which includes nu-metal and some reggae. I highly recommend seeing these guys live if you ever have the chance. (Fun fact: they were also are Artist of the Month for April so go check that after you are finished reading this.) 4. The Word AliveI found The Word Alive at Warped Tour 2016, they were playing in the Monster Energy Party Zone. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't heard of The Word Alive being a big fan of metalcore music so curiosity got the best of me and I decided to check out their set. Their set was the first of the day and I had no other bands that I wanted to see so I was lucky enough to get a chance to see them. I loved their sound, and mostly their crowd at Warped that year everyone was so into the music that I was intrigued from that as well. 3. Eyes Set To KillThere's nothing cooler than seeing girls and guys playing metal together. That's exactly what Eyes Set To Kill is and I was simply impressed. We don't see many girls and guys playing in the same band together usually it is just one girl and a bunch of other guys. Which is what initially what got me hooked on this band when I saw them in 2015 opening up for New Years Day. At the time I went home and listened to their music in full and they quickly became one of my favorite bands. 2. Ice Nine KillsI'm always drawn to bands who include some type of theatrical element to a band, I don't know why I am but it just happens naturally. Ice Nine Kills always try bring their music to life onstage which something I do enjoy. I found these guys when they were opening up for a Motionless In White concert and trust this band only added to how amazing the lineup already was. I got into not very soon after and they also have become one of my favorite bands with the way they can tell a story onstage and with their music. 1. New Years DayIf you're surprised then I'm doing my job right. You may have seen me mention New Years Day quite a few times on my blog beforehand and they are one of the bands I saw live before loving. It was my very first Vans Warped Tour back in 2013 where I was walking around trying to figure what bands I wanted to see. When I stumbled across New Years Day playing main stage and instantly was intrigued by their sound and their look. During their set they played their song "Angel Eyes" and when I found out that the song featured Chris Motionless and instantly wanted to check out their music.
