I wanted to create a discussion about everything that has gone in the music industry lately. I know, this isn't the usual content you will find on my blog but still I felt it was important to talk about. As you may have seen in the news recently another concert has been attacked. Which is truly heart wrenching. I'm sure you've all heard about this by now you've seen it flooded all over social media.
Well, In my nearly two decades of being alive would I think I would see the day where concerts would be a hot a spot of attacks. But I don't think we should avoid going out into concerts entirely. We cannot live in fear and we should continue going to concerts as an act of rebelliousness. Though I think vocalist Lzzy Hale said it best in an Instagram post: "My heart goes out to Ariana Grande, the victims and the victims families of tonight's attack in Manchester. Our music sanctuary was defiled again tonight. As a performer this hits at my very core. This is again an attack on my home, the very place where my soul lives and breathes. And as a performer I will continue to bring live music to all corners of the world, now not only as an act of peace, equality, love and empowerment but as an act of defiance. I defy your hate, senselessness and cowardice. How dare you enter our fucking church and bring an early end to innocent children and adults who's only desire tonight was to feel that intangible freedom that live music gifts to us all. I raise my guitar and sing my highest note for all our friends in Manchester and we carry Paris with us always as well! We fight back with love and Rock n Roll! Rock on my friends...Rock On." With this I want leave this short discussion off on this note. Stay safe, go to concerts, and don't let terrorism ruin concerts for all us music lovers in the world. I'm praying for you Manchester! Until then, Stay safe, And always, See you in the pit! 🤘 Mari Feel free to contribute with your emotions down in the comments section.
