Concert Reviews
February 17th, I headed to the kick off date of the Rest In Space Tour in Eugene, Oregon. This was Pierce The Veil's winter headlining tour which with support from Falling In Reverse and Crown The Empire. This was my first time seeing Pierce The Veil live, so I was quite to have the experience. Overall, I would say this tour is fun and engaging which was truly a show to remember. Crown The EmpireCrown The Empire were the first band to go on opening up with the "Zero" off of their latest album Retrograde, I would say that was a strong song to get the crowd entertained and I would describe "Zero" as a pumped up song. After removing Dave Escamilla from the band vocalist, Andy Leo, has taken full vocals clean and unclean. I was very intrigued to see how they would pull of the nights performance without Escamilla, after seeing them since his departure I will say it does feel like their is an element missing from the band. Leo's unclean vocals were good but not as powerful as Escamilla's. My favorite song off their set would be "Hologram." Falling In Reverse Falling In Reverse are a band I have not kept up with in quite some time. They played songs off of their most recent album Just Like You but had a good mix from songs off of Fashionably Late and The Drug In Me Is You. An interesting dynamic to their set was vocalist, Ronnie Radke, having supporting vocals from drummer, Ryan Seaman, which is something you don't see very often. The few things I didn't like about their performance was the way Radke moved around on stage it seemed just a little stiff and unnatural to me and how he sang with his mouth full of chips since I was not going to enjoy covered in someone else's have eaten food...luckily I didn't any crumbs spewed my way. The most highlighted points in the set for me was definitely their song "Loser" and watching Radke playing guitar onstage for "Coming Home." My song off their set would be "Loser." Pierce The VeilThere were three songs I wanted Pierce The Veil to play, the three being "Dive In," "Caraphernelia," and "Floral and Fading" which they played all three. Pierce The Veil have honestly blew me away with their live performance they had an engaging set, even though they had a barrier they were still able to interact with fans. Speaking of fans, Pierce The Veil also had pulled a fan from the crowd, right for the beginning of "Bulletproof Love", Vic Fuentes had sang to a young girl. They played "Stay Away from My Friends" which was an utter surprise and a nice change of pace compared to the rest of the set. Pierce The Veil closed the set with "Hold On Till May" and encore included "Circles" and "King for a Day" which made the crowd loose their minds.
My favorite song off their set would be "Circles" or "Dive In" Overall I would totally recommend going to one of the dates off their shows on this tour. ~~~~~~~~ This is totally opinion based and my first review of a concert.
