Concert Reviews
Last Saturday I attended my local radio station's Pain in the Grass concert, it's a radio festival held annually. It features some of the biggest name in rock music along with bands who are also up and coming in rock. This year the main headliner of festival was Korn. This is my second time attending the festival and I have a lot to say about this year. If you do live in the Seattle area I highly recommend checking out Pain in the Grass for some fun and seeing some of your favorite large acts. What to expectDefinitely be prepared for a day full of rock n' roll, as I stated before in this review how some very prominent bands from rock play. This year the lineup included bands such as Korn, The Pretty Reckless, Babymetal, Stone Sour. It also tends to get really hot since the venue is an out door festival be sure to lather your skin in sun screen. Also you can find some smaller bands that you may not have heard of at the festival as well. Century Media features a stage with a select few of their artists be sure to check out this stage in your free time. You have a chance of finding some of your new favorite bands on this stage. Standout bands

I attended the kickoff date of the Vans Warped Tour on June 16th in Seattle, Washington. There was a change in location this year for the people in Washington to the CenturyLink Stadium. The lineup was also quite different compared to other years where people often said that the lineup was to "heavy." Which I have to disagree with there definitely something for everyone. There was alternative, rap, pop punk, metalcore, metal, deathcore, death metal, punk, and so many genres for people of any age group this year. What's different? For those who are dedicated Warped Tour attendees the lineup was completely different compared to the previous years. Warped Tour has always been mainly pop punk with some metalcore and post-hardcore mixed in. With this year there was a varying lineup of bands. You had everything from GWAR to Neck Deep to Jule Vera to Carnifex. There were even more rappers than there has been in the past. Which I really think that benefitted the overall experience because if you have a friend who doesn't necessarily like metalcore or pop punk there would be some music for them. Warped Tour also added two new stages Skullcandy and Hard Rock. What's the same?Several nonprofits have come back this year on Warped Tour to spread their message some of these nonprofits would include Truth and Peta2. As well as the Feed Our Children Now where you can get in the get in early line. Lot's have returned to Warped Tour this year such as New Years Day, Beartooth, Blessthefall, Neck Deep which is nice to see some returning Warped Veterans returning to the tour. Some of these bands are really popular so I really want to overlook this Warped lineup quite yet. What to expectWhat can you expect from this years Vans Warped Tour? A very varied lineup this year. New music, which does play into a varied lineup this year. Who knows as you walking around listening to different you may find one of your new favorite bands. It's happened to me almost every where I have gone to Warped Tour. New music also means bands can debut a new song apart of their set for example New Years Day played a new song called "Disgust Me" and Memphis May Fire played a new song called "Virus." You also have opportunities to meet your favorite bands get their autographs and photos. Bands also walk around during the day so be sure to have your eyes peeled. There's also fake blood, thanks GWAR. It's an overall fun day so I definitely recommend not speaking this Warped Tour. Bands to watchHere's some of the bands I enjoyed watching and that I highly recommend that you check out during the day. If you see any of these bands live definitely let me know what you think!
